7<\/span>th<\/span> INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF THE EUROPEAN MILK BANK ASSOCIATION (EMBA) took place in Mardit on 25<\/span>th<\/span> \u2013 27<\/span>th<\/span> of October<\/span><\/p>\n

Congress attracts healthcare professionals and scientists in the fields of breastfeeding, human milk banking, human milk research, and infant nutrition not only from Europe but all around the World.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year the main theme of the EMBA Congress was: \u201cHuman Milk Banks: Equity and Quality for the Health of Vulnerable Babies\u201d. Following the COVID era, this was the first EMBA Congress where all speakers and chairs will join us onsite to ensure the highest quality of interactions. Participants have had the opportunity to exchange ideas, and meet colleagues from all over the world and listen to lectures from the prominent experts.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 7th International EMBA Congress was preceded this year by an interesting Workshop on High Temperature Short Time Pasteurization on Wednesday, 25th of October.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the congress, Poland was represented on behalf of the Human Milk Bank Foundation and the Human Milk and Lactation Research Laboratory of the Medical University of Warsaw by: Aleksandra Weso\u0142owska, PhD \u2013 president of the Foundation, Gabriela , Ph.D \u2013 member of the Foundation’s Scientific Council, Magdalena Babiszewska-Aksamit, Ph.D, Agnieszka Bzikowska-Jur, MD and PhD and Aleksandra Mo\u0142as, MA (who also represents the Human Milk Bank at the Holy Family Specialist Hospital in Warsaw).<\/span><\/p>\n

Dlatego zadbanie o\u00a0prawid\u0142owe \u017cywienie niemowl\u0105t i\u00a0ma\u0142ych dzieci jest szczeg\u00f3lnie wa\u017cne w\u0142a\u015bnie wtedy, gdy\u00a0brakuje jedzenia na\u00a0p\u00f3\u0142kach sklepowych, gdy\u00a0pomoc humanitarna \u015bwiadczona przez\u00a0przer\u00f3\u017cne organizacje przekazuje produkty nie\u00a0zawsze w\u0142a\u015bciwe dla niemowl\u0105t i\u00a0ma\u0142ych dzieci, gdy\u00a0brak jest dost\u0119pu do\u00a0czystej wody i\u00a0\u015brodk\u00f3w higienicznych, gdy\u00a0matki karmi\u0105ce trac\u0105 pokarm. Podczas 4 webinaru pt: \u201ePoradnictwo laktacyjne i\u00a0\u017cywieniowe w\u00a0sytuacjach kryzysowych.\u201d w\u00a0ramach cyklu \u201eWsparcie matek w\u00a0\u017cywieniu dzieci w\u00a0kryzysie\u201d, Jodine Chase, dr\u00a0Agnieszka Bzikowska-Jura oraz\u00a0Malwina Okrzesik nie\u00a0tylko\u00a0przedstawi\u0105 najwa\u017cniejsze za\u0142o\u017cenia dotycz\u0105ce \u017cywienia niemowl\u0105t i\u00a0ma\u0142ych dzieci w\u00a0sytuacjach nag\u0142ych, ale\u00a0i\u00a0poradz\u0105 jak powinno wygl\u0105da\u0107 poradnictwo laktacyjne oraz\u00a0jak nale\u017cy planowa\u0107 diet\u0119 uzupe\u0142niaj\u0105c\u0105 niemowl\u0105t po\u00a06 mies. \u017cycia w\u00a0tych szczeg\u00f3lnych sytuacjach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
